The wallet password is the password set by the user when first creating the wallet. It is different from the FNCY login password and is used to view assets, as well as to transfer tokens and NFTs. You may think of this as like your password for your bank or passcode to unlock your phone.
The user has full authority over their FNCY Wallet, and thus, assets cannot be retrieved if the password is lost. Therefore, FNCY has added a Question/Answer feature as a security measure in the case the user forgets their password.
The user can change their password with the password they first set or with the Question/Answer [View More at the bottom of the wallet’s main page > Security/Verification Menu > Change Password]. Please refer to the information below for further details.
- View My on the FNCY App
- Security/Verification Menu
- Change Password
- Enter Current Password or Enter Question/Answer
You may enter your current password to change the password, but if you have forgotten your current password, click the 'Reset Wallet Password'. You can change your password with the backup Question/Answer you set when creating the wallet.
5. Set New Password
Please be aware that if you lose the password you set and/or the backup Question/Answer, you cannot retrieve your assets. Also, the wallet password is used when transferring assets, so please be sure it is not exposed to others.
